During the Thanksgiving and Christmas Seasons there is always a spiraled ham making a debut at my home. (It can magically appear at other times too.)
So for my first Month of Marys post, I have chosen to use the Ham as my special part of the Mary. Typically I attach both cherries and pineapple to the ham while it’s baking. This gives a little sweet to the heartiness of the ham.
For this Mary, I muddle half a pineapple ring with two tablespoons of ham juice. Then I add two ounces of Kimo Sabe Reposado Mezcal. The smokiness of the Mezcal blends so wonderfully with the ham. To this I add one tablespoon of juice from Mt Olive Bread and Butter pickles and a little ice and fill the glass with Cutwater Bloody Mary mix. Garnish with a hunk of ham, the other half of the pineapple ring, a pickle and a cherry. It’s Holiday Goodness in a Glass. #OhMyYum.
